1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or using any part of the Designers Academy platform at designers.ac, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Designers Academy Pvt. Ltd. ("Designers Academy", "we", "us") with respect to your use of the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By using the platform, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to accept these terms. Accounts may not be shared or transferred.

3. Courses and Enrollment

3.1 Batch-based learning

Designers Academy offers courses in fixed batches with scheduled live sessions. Enrollment in a batch confirms your participation for the full course duration. Batch schedules, session timings, and formats are communicated at the time of enrollment and may be adjusted by up to 48 hours in the event of educator unavailability or force majeure.

3.2 Access

Upon enrollment, you receive access to course materials, live sessions, recordings, and the community associated with your batch. Access to recordings and materials remains available for 6 months after your batch ends, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

3.3 Certificates

Completion certificates are issued upon meeting attendance and assignment requirements as specified for each course. Certificates are digital and downloadable from your dashboard.

4. Payments

All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes. Full payment is required to confirm your enrollment unless an installment plan has been explicitly offered and agreed upon in writing. We accept payments via the methods listed at checkout.

In the event of a payment failure, your enrollment will not be confirmed. Receipts and invoices are generated automatically and available in your account dashboard.

5. Refund Policy

5.1 Cancellation before batch start

If you cancel your enrollment 7 or more days before the batch start date, you are eligible for a full refund of the course fee. Cancellations made 3–6 days before the batch start date are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 3 days before the batch start date are not eligible for a refund.

5.2 After batch has started

Once a batch has commenced, no refunds will be issued. If you are unable to continue due to a medical emergency or other extenuating circumstances, you may apply for a batch transfer (see Section 5.4) instead.

5.3 Cancellation by Designers Academy

In the rare event that Designers Academy cancels a batch, you will receive a full refund within 7 working days, or the option to transfer to the next available batch at no additional cost.

5.4 Batch transfers

You may request a one-time transfer to a future batch of the same course, subject to availability, provided the request is made at least 48 hours before your current batch starts. Batch transfers do not attract additional fees.

5.5 How to request a refund

To request a refund or batch transfer, contact us through the Contact page with your enrollment ID. Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 working days to the original payment method.

6. Code of Conduct

You agree to use the platform in a respectful and lawful manner. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Sharing, distributing, or reselling course materials without written permission
  • Recording live sessions without consent of the educator and Designers Academy
  • Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behaviour toward educators, staff, or fellow learners
  • Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity
  • Attempting to circumvent platform security or access controls
  • Using the platform for any unlawful purpose

Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All course content, materials, videos, design assets, and platform features are the intellectual property of Designers Academy or its educators and are protected by applicable copyright laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use course materials for your personal educational use only.

Content you create and submit — such as portfolio work, articles, or community posts — remains your property. By submitting it to the platform, you grant Designers Academy a non-exclusive licence to display it within the platform and, where you have opted in, in our marketing materials.

8. Community and User Content

Our community features allow learners to post, share, and discuss design work. You are responsible for the content you post. Designers Academy reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms or is otherwise harmful, without notice. We do not endorse or take responsibility for user-generated content.

9. Referral Programme

Participation in our referral programme is subject to the programme terms displayed in your dashboard. Referral rewards are credited only upon successful enrollment and payment confirmation by the referred person. Rewards have no cash value unless encashment is explicitly available and requested. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral programme with 30 days' notice.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Designers Academy provides educational content in good faith and endeavours to ensure accuracy and quality. However, we do not guarantee specific career outcomes, job placements, or salary increases as a result of completing our courses.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Designers Academy's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
